The Perfect Summer: A Balance of Festivals and Relaxation

At the end of the day, you leave Villars with the windows open, carried along by the gentle summer breeze. In just thirty minutes, the landscape transforms: the Alpine peaks gradually fade from view, giving way to the vibrant atmosphere of the Vaud Riviera. In Montreux, the waterfront comes alive, filled with the first notes of music and the excitement of the festival.

From July 3 to 18, 2026, the festival founded by Claude Nobs will celebrate its 60th edition and return to its fully renovated Convention Center, featuring its legendary venues: the Stravinski Auditorium and the Montreux Jazz Lab. The lineup includes jazz legends, pop icons, and talented artists from around the world. And along the lake, a multitude of stages where you can wander from one concert to the next.

Then, as the night wears on, you head back up to the Chalet RoyAlp, toward the cool air and the silence of the mountains. Tomorrow, a spa treatment and lunch on the terrace. And why not another concert come evening? Maybe that’s what the perfect summer is all about.
